Diane's Magic Theatre

In 1969, Roger was offered a series for Yorkshire Television, by the Director, Jess Yates, and this would lead to over 150 puppet programmes being made for the Yorkshire based I.T.V. Company. The first series was 'Diane's Magic Theatre' and 'Witch's Brew', 'Nuts and Bones' and 'The Laughing Policeman' followed. The series 'Play It Again Stewpot', presented by the Radio Personality, Ed Stewart, was made in 1973 and featured 'look alike' puppets of pop stars, Elvis Presley, Elton John and others.

DIANE'S MAGIC THEATRE

A 10 minute x 26 programmes for Yorkshire Television filmed 1969/ 1970.

The synopsis: A little Girl - Diane - sits in a box at a very old Variety theatre - The City Varieties in Leeds, Yorkshire, England together with her two pet rabbits ( Glove Puppets ) and the string puppets appear on stage within a proscenium Puppet Theatre.
